Tuesday 23rd October 2007.
Wendsledale Gazette break-in update.

The investigation is nearly complete,
the police have checked every street,
and nobody saw anything at all.

Not one single thing,
and the special number you could ring,
it didn't receive one single call.

There's not one clue,
so they don't know how, or who,
or why they took the photographs.

It could be professionals or thugs,
looking for money or drugs,
or maybe people just doing it for laughs?

Not one fingerprint was left behind,
no evidence of any kind,
not even a single piece of skin.

And with the value of the photos so low,
why would somebody go,
and risk breaking in!

What was it inside,
what did they need to hide,
what was it, that they didn't want known.

Was it the place,
or maybe someone’s face,
that would cause problems if it was shown?

But Sergeant String was sure of one thing,
this investigation was going, to be ongoing.

And he had the belief, that he'd catch the thief,
and would not close the case without knowing.

Wednesday 24th October 2007.
No news or further clues, from Sergeant String and this break-in thing.

This morning there’s been a power cut at Gruyere Girl's School.
Dorothy Double-Gloucester said;

"The school's had to shut,
there's been a power cut.

There's no light or heat,
and nothing hot to eat.

There's no Physics or PE,
because nobody can see.

There's no electricity,
and the reason is a mystery.

There's no English or Maths,
or water for showers or baths.

There's no power for lights,
and it's darker than the darkest of nights.

We're giving your parents and guardians a call,
and taking you all, to the city hall."

Thursday 25th October 2007.
The investigation into the break in at the Wendsledale Gazette is now closed,
the reason why; nobody knows.

What we've been told,
is that the trail has gone cold,
and the case is now officially shut.

When we asked the reason why,
they looked us in the eye,
became serious and were rather abrupt.

The two Special Agents from the CPA (Cheese Protection Agency),
met us this morning, and gave us the following warning, and suggestion.

Do not ask, one more, single question!

So we have to back away, and do as they say, you don't want to make enemies of the CPA
We can give you this fact, but keep it between you and me, the trail went cold near to the sea.

Friday 26th October 2007.
Sorry the news is a little late,
there were bad road works and I had to wait.

Later today, the electricity board say,
the power will be back on in Gruyere school.

There’s heat and light, everything’s alright,
but I’m afraid ther’s no water in the pool.

A Saturday play at the Roman Fort in Wensleydale Well.
This Saturday,
there’s a very funny play,
being held in the old Roman Fort.

It’s about the batte of Well,
and a magical spell,
that made sure the King was never caught.

It starts at half past three,
tickets are free,
and it stars Manchego Matt.

It’ll cost you no money,
the plays really funny,
but get there early if you want to be sat.
