First frost on the ground
This morning we found, frost on the ground,
and vegetables cold to the core.
Winter is near, but frost this time of year,
it's never been this cold before.
So protect your veg, start at the edge,
and don't allow the cold to get in.
Because if you do, the only option for you,
will be to throw them into the bin

Slippery roads in the Vale
The Autumn leaves, blown off the trees,
have made driving a nightmare.
Today if you drive, to stay safe and survive,
remember to take extra care.
Don’t overtake, be careful when you brake,
and try to use a high gear.
Stay steady and alert and you will not get hurt,
and deal with your fear.

A new hospital wing
To save lots more lives, our hospital St Ives,
is building an extra wing.
Two hundred new beds, a specialist for heads,
and one more special thing.
A scanner for the brain, to see if you're insane,
and a test for your IQ.
Specialists will make sure, that they find a cure,
and will always help you.

The Chi-C index rises
It's not surprising, that markets are rising,
things are good in the Vale.
People feel more sure, happy and secure,
and more goods are on sale.
Traffic is getting less, there's not much mess,
and people have time to relax.
Money is being spent, so people are content,
and now they even pay less tax.

on Sunday the clocks change.
Mornings have more light. it's darker at night,
so things may seem strange.

They open the ice skating rink,
restaurants serve soup to drink.
Woolly jumpers unpacked from drawers,
the streets are not busy, people indoors.
