Air quality warning
Don't throw your old tyres, on garden fires,
the smoke stays for weeks in the air.
It's a nuisance and pest, gets into your chest,
and is very dangerous and also unfair.
It makes it difficult to breathe, and doctor's believe,
that this smoke can cause lung disease.
It harms animals and plants, so don't take a chance,
look how it's killing the trees.

A pedestrian only zone
If you're travelling by car, you can only drive so far,
into the city of
There's a new pedestrian zone, it's safer walking alone,
and traffic is no longer such hell.
It's safer to walk, you can hear yourself talk,
and shopping there is relaxing and fun.
You can shop at your pace, no need to race,
or rush like a vampire avoiding the sun.

Opening success
The Salt-N-Sea, was very busy,
with hundreds of people in the shop.
Packed like sardines, splitting at the seams,
would it ever stop.
They had to wait, until half past eight,
for all the shoppers to leave.
From morning till night, no break in site,
so tired you wouldn't believe.
Charlie is going to France
Charlie jumped at the chance of going to
it was a place he'd always wanted to go.
His friends had been, told him what they’d seen,
and there was a lot more he wanted to know.
He'd drive, not fly, there was a good reason why,
he was afraid of flying by plane.
He flew last year, was totally overcome by fear,
and promised he'd never do it again.
So he packed his summer suit, planned his driving route,
and was ready to set off later that day.
He'd take it nice and slow, it was a country he didn't know,
and he’d stop over 1 night on the way.
His expenses were paid, but it was important that he stayed,
somewhere that was comfortable and cheap.
The Gazette didn't have money to spare, and it wasn’t very fair,
to waste money on a place just to sleep!
He was off to the South of France, to the festival of film and dance,
and would be interviewing 4 people every day.
His interviews started at eight, there was no way he could be late,
so it would be a busy 2 weeks, not all play!
There was a new film every night, everyone dressed up and polite
and each afternoon there was a special dinner dance.
There wouldn't be a minute to spare, rushing here, rushing there,
but Charlie was happy that he’d been given the chance.
If you planned things right, you could sleep 6 hours every night,
however the average for most people was just 4.
With lots of drinking and eating and the most uncomfortable seating,
towards the end it would be a bit of a bore.
So with only six hours to spare, he'd better get ready and prepare,
because very soon he'd be setting off in his car,
Charlie couldn’t wait to begin the drive, he felt so happy and alive,
he'd travelled to other places, but never this far.
