The Yacht race results
In first place, of this famous yacht race,
came a yacht named 'Baron Von Munch',
An unusual design, it won in record time,
and the crew were a very strange bunch!
You had to see them, like Pirates of the
with beards and all wearing black.
One had a strange walk, another couldn't talk,
and one had a big tattoo on his back!

A water ban is announced
Ok chaps, turn off your taps,
because water supplies are running out.
Take showers, don't water flowers,
and hopefully there won't be a drought.
Put away your hoses, don't water your roses,
your plants or even the grass.
You have to try, to collect water from the sky,
from any rain that might pass.

The fines are heavy
People have been seen, trying to make their lawn green,
by watering it late at night.
This tricky activity, means there's less for you and me,
so this behaviour is not right.
If seen a second time, there'll be a big fine,
and they'll cut off your water supply.
Please use common sense, this is a serious offense,
waste water, and people may die!

No rain for 2 weeks
It'll stay hot and dry, there's no moisture in the sky,
so it's unlikely we'll get any rain.
In 2 weeks light showers, will dampen the flowers,
and then it'll disappear again.
We knew the weather would change, but this is strange,
and drier than our worst fears.
The weather is so extreme, the worst we've ever seen,
and the hottest in over 200 years.

Trouble on the trains
Rail tracks are bending, they need replacing or mending,
and lots of trains will be delayed.
They need to use a special tool, to help the metal cool,
and trains may be cancelled I'm afraid.
The weather’s driving people insane, we really need rain,
and the land is so dry, it’s cracking.
The farmers fields are all dust, finding fresh water is a must,
because of the rainfall that’s lacking.
