The charity cycle went well
Over £5,000 was collected, more than expected,
and a lot more than previous years.
Bikes with 6 brakes, one could float on lakes
and another had 47 gears.
One had 4 saddles, another had big paddles,
and one was completely made of plastic.
It was a lot of fun, nobody cared who won,
and the atmosphere was absolutely fantastic.

Summer's on the way
I don't know why, but from the 1st July,
the summer seems to begin,
the weather is brighter, clothes become lighter,
and everyone wants to swim.
Skirts become shorter, everyone heads for water,
and meals are eaten in the garden,
people smile a lot more, keep within the law,

it's a complete mystery and nobody knows.
They've been working on the shop for over a week,

We've asked the local authorities but drawn a total blank,
We've even asked quetions at the place where they bank!
