Life in the vale is sweet

Monday is here, the skies are very clear,
and things are going well in the Vale.
The grass is green, the river very clean,
and life is like a beautiful fairy tale.

Even Freddie Feta's, mood seems much better,
although you wouldn't know it if you looked.
Wensleydale are playing well, on a winning spell,
and not one single player has been booked.

No tax on electric cars

Earlier today, the Cheese Board went on to say,
that the taxation of electric cars would stop.
The cars are slow, but you'll be pleased to know,
that there will be no tax, not one single drop.

They don't have much power, but run for an hour,
on one single charge of electricity.
They may look comical, but they're very economical,
and to run them all day costs 50p.

More cycle lanes needed

There are tracks for trains, but no bicycle lanes,
and it's very dangerous riding your bike.
There are paths for pedestrians, trails for equestrians,
but as a cyclist you ride where you like.

They're looking for a solution to reduce pollution,
and more cycling is something that's required.
Cycling is healthy, you don't need to be wealthy,
it's just dangerous and makes you very tired.

The 2nd round of choir judging

The first hurdle is over, one more to jump through,
and they're determined to do the best they can do.
They're singing now, singing from their little hearts,
everyone in tune, all singing their important parts.

The crowd are going wild, clapping and cheering,
the judges amazed, the end of the song is nearing.
For the first time ever, the judges stand up and clap, saying,
"you're through to the final and that's that."

The choir are overjoyed, all of them close to tears,
this is the best moment in their singing careers.

The final is in 1 week.
