A celebration of life in the Vale
Today at half past two, there will be a barbeque,
to celebrate life in the Vale.
The Count is to thank, it's paid for by his bank,
and he's always there without fail.
So please be there, in Wensleydale Square,
for great music, dancing and food.
It'll be a great celebration, of the Cheese nation,
so everyone will be in a happy mood.

The barbeque went well
It was a successful event, everybody went,
and the food was absolutely great.
You could tell, the food went down well,
as there was nothing left on any plate
People hand in hand, moving to the band,
laughing, smiling and content.
Girl dancing with boy, an afternoon of joy,
everyone was glad that they went.

A new bridge across the river Rind
Since 1879, this bridge has stood the test of time,
but now it's beginning to decay.
With more traffic on the roads, carrying heavier loads,
this bridge has finally had its day.
With a new one at its side, the old can stand with pride,
restored to its original condition.
For ages they've waited, for it to be decorated,
and now they've finally got permission.

A near collision in the sky
In the sky, two planes were flying high,
so close they nearly collided.
They have no name, of who to blame,
and this fact has to be decided.
The boss of flight control, is taking a stroll,
to try to calm down and relax.
The pilots kept their nerve, deciding to swerve,
but it'll take ages to get all the facts.

A power cut
The caves have no light, those inside are alright,
but they have to be careful and wary.
Luckily there's fresh air, but it will be cold in there,
and frightening and also quite scary.
An emergency crew, are seeing what they can do,
and are trying to find out what's wrong.
There is miles of wiring, it's a job that's very tiring
and let's hope it won't take them long.
An update on the caves
The fault has been found, it was deep underground,
and power to the caves is now back.
