The new WMW is on sale
From today, you can drive one away,
but there may be very big queues.
This Friday, we'll hear what people say,
and get their opinions and views.
We're taking it for a test, so if it's the best,
we'll tell you in our detailed report.
From comfort to speed, every driving need,
will be scored from ten to nought.
Tuesday 13th May 2008
Mixed weather
A mini hurricane, tropical rain,
and winds of 100 mph.
Bright lightening, very frightening,
and the odd snow shower.
Thunder loud, sky full of cloud,
but soon it'll all be cleared.
Followed by sunshine, it'll be fine,
this weather is really weird.
Wednesday 14th May 2008
The C4 into Wensleydale is closed
They've shut the C4, have set up a detour,
but it will add 30 minutes to your drive.
There's lots of mud, caused by the flood,
and no guarantee of when you'll arrive.
Tonnes of the stuff, moving it will be tough,
they need 8 big lorries and lots of men.
Through the night and day, clearing it away,
loading lorries over and over again.
Thursday 15th May 2008
A perfect day
It's mid May, it's a beautiful day,
and everything is lush and green.
The Vale is bright, looks just right,
it's the most beautiful it's ever been.
Birds are singing, church bells ringing,
and Cheasies are playing outside.
Running, jumping, hearts pumping,
everyone has a great sense of pride.
Friday 16th May 2008
The C4 is open
The mud has cleared, queues have disappeared,
and traffic is moving again.
But for a few more days, there will be minor delays,
and pray for no more rain.
So please pay attention and we need to mention,
that cameras will be checking your speed.
So drive with great care and be 'speed aware',
and don't drive fast, there's really no need.
