The annual sports car rally is this Friday
30 cars taking part, waiting at the start,
for the lights to turn amber, then green.
Those in the race, will set a fast pace,
this may be the best rally, we've seen.
It'll not be boring, with those engines roaring,
and some of the most powerful cars around.
Sleek racing lines, trying to better there times,
you can imagine the sights, smell and sound!

An amazing new day
Did you set your eyes on, the sun rise in the horizon,
this morning as the day began.
And as the sun was rearing, with the mist disappearing,
today's a good day for a plan.
Let the sun's beams, awaken your dreams,
and bring them to life with new power.
Just take that first stride and do it with pride,
you too, can blossom like a flower.

Possible water shortages this summer
Use rainwater for the flowers, only have showers,
and do not water your grass.
Don't fill your pool, or use too much ice to keep cool,
and please avoid taking a bath.
Reservoirs are low, we don't expect them to grow,
and the forecast is for very hot weather.
If we want water to drink, save it, stop and think,
we must tackle this shortage together.

Rally cars are on show this evening
The Count of Boursin, a keen rally fan,
is displaying the cars on his Estate.
Tickets are £4.00, with entry to his grounds,
and are available at the main gate.
There's a buffet and bar, you can photograph each car,
and scale models of each can be bought.
You may even win, if your name's pulled out of the tin,
a course where rally driving is taught.
Friday 11th April 2008
Rally time in the vale
The rally starts at 2, and the cars will go through,
Cheddar village and the village of Roquefort.
The route has changed, things completely re-arranged,
they've never driven this circuit before.
The circuit is tougher, the roads are a lot rougher,
and the corners are very, very tight.
The cars are stronger, because the circuit is longer,
and the drivers will be driving at night.
