The weekend was really great,
I
saw a movie on Sunday at eight,
about a man who was a lottery winner.

I ate popcorn and some sweets,
sat in really comfortable seats,
and afterwards went for dinner.

Today Edam Rees-Jones is speaking at
Gruyere Girls School
about her
modeling career.

She will advise how to stay young, slim and fit,
and what she did to become a modeling hit.
She will explain about the tough competiton,
and give advice on healthy eating and nutrition.

I have some news about rail price increases in the Vale.

The price of rail tickets is going up again,
it'll be more expensive to travel by train.
New prices will apply from the end of May,
the boss of the railway had the following to say;

"with the rising cost of fuel, you'd have to be a fool, to not understand the need for this rise,
This is not for financial gain, it costs more to run each train, so it should come as no surprise."

Edam's Talk goes well
Edam’s talk at the School went well, you could easily tell,
that the students were interested and very keen.
They clapped for 20 minutes at the end, genuine, not pretend,
And more enthusiastic group had never been seen.

Thursday 10th January 2008

Later today there’ll be heavy rain,
there are problems traveling by train,
and roadworks in the village of Roquefort.

Suspicious people knocking on doors in the Vale
There are some dodgy people knocking on front doors,
they say they’re collecting money for a good cause,
but be careful and don’t let them into your home.

These people may be pleasant and seem very nice,
PC Bobby Blue has the following words of advice,
“never let anyone into your house if you’re on your own!”

Bobby Blue continued to say;
“If people are genuine they’ll carry an ID,
with a Wensleydale Police seal you can see,
in the top right hand corner, coloured in red.
if in doubt then phone to check their name,
and if you think they’re playing a game,
then phone Wensleydale Police Station instead"

The Sailors Club in Port Salute have a dance night
Put on your very best suit,
and get down to Port Salute.
Wear your prettiest frock,
and get down to the dock.

There's rock and roll, blues and soul,
there's acid house and dance.
From 1960 to1970, music there's plenty,
get tickets now, it's your very last chance.
