Friday office party.
Here at the Wensleydale Gazette,
we had the best Christmas party yet.
It finished at 4, with people still on the floor,
dancing and working up a sweat.
The meal was incredible, everything was edible,
and most people wanted to have more.
The beef was beyond belief, it melted between your teeth,
10 out of 10 as a score.
The wine was very fine, everyone had a good time,
and the music was to everyone's taste.
From jazz to rock and roll, from pop, to blues and soul,
not one single song went to waste.
Lucy Leicester's driving test result.
The driving test result, it wasn't all her fault,
the other driver was partly to blame.
He drove through a red light, it gave her a fright,
and she now has to take it again.
She had to emergency brake, but she made a mistake,
and her car skidded to a halt.
And in her nervous condition, she broke the key in the ignition,
It wasn’t totally her fault.

No Christmas trees left in the Vale,
not one single tree is for sale.
It's a mystery, where they've all gone,
someone got their numbers all wrong.
Maybe there's a problem with supply,
there's not one single tree left to buy.

Today The Cheese People announce their ‘Found a Pound’ charity appeal.
OK, here’s the deal with our charity appeal,
We want to raise a million for children in need.
A million people find a pound, how easy does that sound,
and you’ll get something in return that you can read.
For every pound you get a free story poem to download
Thursday 13th December 2007
Today our blog went down,
smile turned to frown,
everything has to be done again.
About 18 hours of work,
It was me who was the berk,
my fault, I won’t do that again.
