It’s plus 5, good to be alive,
and there are no traffic jams in the Vale,
There’s a light breeze, calm seas,
and no delays on the road or by rail.
The Christmas lights
On Saturday afternoon,
there wasn’t much room,
as the Christmas lights button was pressed.
It was a beautiful sight,
it lit up the night,
everyone there was very impressed!
Tuesday 4th December 2007
The ‘Melted Cheese’ play in the Fromage Club and Bar.
Tonight from afar,
the sound of electric guitar,
in the Fromage Club and Bar.
Drums banging a fast beat,
audiences stamping their feet,
nobody sat on their seat.
The band are becoming well known,
playing good venues on their own,
and in 2008 they’ll play in Rome

The start of office party season.
This Friday's you can really let your hair down,
this Friday's you can really relax.
Celebrate the year at your office party in town,
and Saturday start to remember the facts.
Remember last year
Did you dance too close to the Boss’s wife,
Did you tell your Team Leader to go get a life?
Did you flirt with the secretary and whisper in her ear,
Did you come out of your shell, forget all your fear?
Did you dance like a Zombie, doing a Michael Jackson Impression,
Did you speak to the prettiest girls there, telling them your confession?
Did you wear too much make-up, was your perfume a little too strong,
Did you wear heels that were a bit too high, were your nails a little bit long?
Did you play with his tie, share your mince pie, tell him he was good for forty four,
Did you send him a text, explaining what to do next, give the number of your hotel door?

Late night shopping in Wensleydale Vale.
Tonight the shops are open late, they won’t close till half past eight,
so you will have time to look for that perfect dress.
There’s a large selection of clothes, rows, and rows, and rows,
you be able to find that perfect something, to impress.
And then for the men there are so many suits, that will suit.
Lots of fine jackets, trousers and ties and shirts made of silk or cotton,
all available in any size and in colours that won’t be forgotten,

Lucy Leicester, they’re going to test her.
She’s feeling quite weary,
she easily passed the theory.
but now she has to show them, that she can drive.
She’s tried five times before,
once hit a cyclist with her door,
and he’s very, very lucky to be alive!
But he overtook on the inside,
why was he trying to hide,
what a stupid way to ride your bike.
Dressed in a flashy yellow jacket,
he made such a racket,
and thought he could do what he liked.
She was opening the door to get out,
was startled by his shout,
but didn’t have time to move.
Anyway, only half his body was bruised,
but he wasn’t amused,
and it took him 6 months to improve.
The Police said, she wasn’t to blame,
but it was a great shame,
that her test suddenly came to an end.
She had failed once again,
she was suffering and in pain,
another test application form to send.
