Monday 1st October 2007. Fruit delivery
The regular delivery of fruit, due in Port Salute,
will be two hours late.
The seas are rough, the crew have had enough,
so you’ll have to wait.
The ship is now due at six, as long as they can fix,
the leak in its side.
Water’s pouring into the boat, it’s only just afloat,
luckily it’s low tide.
Tuesday 2nd October 2007. A new menu
The Stilton hotel has a new menu of food,
specially designed to satisfy your mood.
There’s savoury salad if you’re sad,
mustard meatballs if you’re mad,
and a special lunch for your mother.
Bangers and mash if you have to dash,
organic fruit if you have a little rash,
and Brussel sprouts for your brother.
An update on the late boat
It arrived in the dock, at seven o’clock,
half full of dirty smelly water.
All the crew, have gone down with flu,
and the fruit taken for slaughter.
