Snowless hills
With no snow on the hills and no skiing thrills,
many are unhappy and bored.
Mountains look weird, the snow has disappeared,
and people are going abroad.
In
but most of the resorts are booked.
When you've been and the snow you've seen,
you will also be completely hooked.

Friday this week, it'll be so noisy you can't speak,
down at the Gruyere school party.
The music will be loud, there'll be a cool crowd,
it'll be trendy, fashionable and arty.
For children and adults alike, wear what you like,
it's time to have fun and celebrate.
On Friday at half past five, the school comes alive,
try to be on time and don't be late.
A green Christmas
Can you please, buy re-cycled trees,
this will help to reduce world waste.
Avoid greed, only cook what you need,
and eat fruit for vitamins and taste.
Turn off every Christmas light, especially at night,
and re-cycle bottles and tins.
Re-use every box, repair your old socks,
and don’t put paper in the bins.

Last post on Saturday
To ensure letters arrive, post by Saturday at five,
then Christmas delivery is guaranteed.
If you want them there faster, speak to the Postmaster,
he'll give you the advice you need.
Please include the post code, as well as the road,
and write in ink, clearly and neat.
Write so it can be read, use black ink, not red,
think about your poor Postman's feet.

Carol singing
This Saturday at seven, these angels from heaven,
will be singing carols in the city hall.
There are two hours of singing and also bell ringing,
followed by a dinner dance and ball.
The Cathedral choir, are as hot as a white fire,
and they sing their little hearts out.
Songs new and old, tickets will be quickly sold,
and please don't buy them from a tout.
