Rail inspection

There will be train delays, for the next two days,

as they inspect each railway line.

Checking nuts and bolts, they are looking for faults,

to protect your life and mine.

Closely inspecting the tracks, looking for cracks,

checking them in great detail.

Working all night, to make sure things are right,

and it's safe to travel by rail.

Traffic cones stolen

This has never happened before, but on the C34,

someone has stolen the traffic cones.

It's a serious offence, as there's no safety fence,

and the Police are searching people's homes.

Please be careful as you drive, to stay alive,

look out for holes in the road.

Drive very slow, be careful how you go,

and look out for the odd wild toad.

The railways are safe

Nothing's been found, the lines are all sound,

there are no problems of any sort.

If you want to know more, just to make sure,

you can download the full report.

It's on the council's website, later on tonight,

but it's a very detailed and large file.

Lots of technical reports, with facts of all sorts,

and detail about every single mile.

Asian flu

It's spreading fast, casualties are vast,

and people are very unwell.

The tell tale signs, are large red lines,

and lips that start to swell.

You may feel faint, hate the smell of paint,

and feel weak at the knees.

Your eyes will weep, you'll be unable to sleep,

and feel sick at the sight of pees.

Flu injections

An injection for flu, it's the best thing to do,

so please arrange it later today.

Just a minute of your time and you'll be fine,

as the symptoms pass away.

The needle doesn't hurt, they're clean no dirt,

and they only go in half an inch.

They gently slap your vein, you'll feel no pain,

you'll just feel a little pinch.
